An Easter Egg From Captain America May Bring Back The Vision

Marvel has a habit of riddling all their movies with Easter eggs, and then they wait for the audience to catch on sooner or later. One such clue from Captain America: The First Avenger could be the plotline for the return of Vision in WandaVision. The movie was stuffed with stars and maybe that is why the cameo of Human Torch went unnoticed. The character has a historical presence and has been a part of the comic book universe since 1939. The Torch holds a profound relationship with the Vision in the comic, and his depiction may be visible in the MCU’s Vision.

The Vision was killed in the Avengers: Infinity War by the great villain Thanos played by Josh Brolin. The planet’s most potent superheroes did everything in their power to save the Vision from the wrath of Thanos and the Black Order in the war of Wakanda, but they failed miserably. The Time Stone gave Thanos the power to end the Vision and obtain the Mind Stone. And because this event was before Thanos snapped his fingers, Smart Hulk could not snap and bring him back in the Avengers: Endgame. But that does not mean that the journey of the character has ended just yet. Marvel has found a way to bring him back to WandaVision.

The series will be a spin-off on several popular television series from different periods and will make Wanda and Vision meet in a suburban locale. This actual connection of the unexplained reappearance may lie in a 1970s comic that explains his origin. Vision discovered that he originates from Mad Thinker and later learned that he was made by the brainpower of Wonder Man and the physique of the original Human Torch. Jim Hammond was a friend of Captain America and the first character to use the Human Torch name. Supposedly, Hammond’s memory was deleted, and his physique became the Vision coupled with new powers. It was a very clever spin, but it was for the sole purpose of allowing the two to co-exist.

Utilization of the body of Hammond was not to make Vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron, but it might be how Vision is supposed to reincarnate in WandaVision. If someone in the universe finds a way to restore his mind, the character will still require an Android body to upload his consciousness into it. And this is where the story can use Hammond. His body and Vision’s memory can be combined and upgraded later to work like Vision.
