- Use a Siri remote to restart the player. In this method, you will have to long-press both Home and the Menu buttons on your remote. Your procedure will be successful when you can see the status light blinking when you press and hold the buttons.
- Use the tvOS system to restart your device. This procedure can be followed by clicking on the Settings option in the Siri remote. After that, click on the System option and then press the Restart button to restart your AppleTV.
Check for the Proper Wi-Fi Connection
Your Apple TV might be creating issues because of the internet connection. This might be because of the Wi-Fi’s inability to join a local network, or due to slow or sudden loss of the network connection. You can troubleshoot your Wi-Fi connection issues by going to the Settings, then clicking on the Network. In the Network option, click on the Status bar and look for the current IP address. If you don’t find any IP address, simply restart your modem along with your Apple TV.
AirPlay Feature Troubleshooting
The AirPlay feature allows you to send and receive media files to and from your mates by using your Apple TV. If you think there is a problem with the AirPlay feature and it needs troubleshooting then, follow these steps:
- First of all, you will have to check if your Apple TV and your handset or laptop is using the same Wi-Fi network.
- Then turn on the AirPlay feature by going to the Settings, then click on the AirPlay and Home Kit option.
- There you have to go to the AirPlay screen and then do a turn on and off procedure and recheck the feature.
Audio and Video Troubleshooting
If you Apple TV has issues regarding audio or video, you may follow these steps to troubleshoot the problems:
- Firstly, ensure that the volume of your TV or the externally attached audio system is up to the mark.
- After ensuring that, you will have to restart your device.
- Then you need to remove the HDMI cable from the port from both the ends and then reconnect it again.
- You need to check the Audio Output of your device then. To do that, go to the Settings option, then on Video and Audio, and then click on the Audio Output to change the audio settings accordingly.
- After doing that, you need to confirm the resolution settings of your display screen, for doing that you will have to go to Settings, then Video and Audio, and then click on the resolution settings to make adjustments.
Siri Remote Troubleshooting
You may troubleshoot problems related to your Siri remote with these easy steps:
- Click on the Settings
- Go to the Remote and Devices option
- Then click on the Remote option
- On clicking the remote option, you will see a graphical representation of the battery life. You can also check the battery percentage by simply selecting the Remote option. When you select the remote option, the battery percentage can be seen adjacent to the Battery Level.
- If your Siri remote has completely stopped working, you can recharge it by simply connecting it with the lightning cable. You don’t have to purchase any additional cable for this purpose; instead, you can use the one which you would have received with your Apple TV.
